              ADULT COMPOSERS CONTEST

             COMPOSITION CATEGORIES

1) Piano or Electronic Keyboard Solo or Duet:  (2 - 10 minute duration)

2) Wind or String Solo with or with accompaniment:  (2-10 minute duration)

3) Chamber Music: (4-10 minute duration)

4) Vocal Solo or Duet: (2-5 minute duration)

5) SSA or SATB Choral (2-6 minute duration)

6) Misc. Ensemble:  (2-10 minute duration)

 

CONTEST RULES

1) Competition is open to active members only of a Senior Music Club or Organization belonging to the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs or Individual Senior Members.  You must have joined and have paid dues by October 1 of this year.

2) The contest is open to any unpublished composer.

3) One entry per person, and composer must be 26 years of age or older.  Music (score) MUST be legibly notated in black or clearly printed and be stapled or bound together.

4) Composition must neither have been recorded nor have appeared in a public performance.  If so, please specify.

5) Manuscripts  must be submitted with a "Pseudonymous Name" in the upper right hand corner of the music.  Include the duration of the music on the score and recording.  The "Official Entry Form" MUST be enclosed in a plain envelope with the Pseudonymous Name on the front.  The composer's real name must not appear anywhere except on the entry form application (Do NOT send original Manuscripts, only a copy)

6) A $15 entry fee (check or money order) payable to the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs must be enclosed in a plain envelope with your entry form
