OFMC Foundation for the Advancement of Music

PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Foundation for the Advancement of Music is to:
1.  encourage the composition and performance of music.
2.  aid performing and creative artists.
3.  promote musical education.
4.  aid veterans in commencing and resuming musical careers.
5.  grant scholarships to carry out the above.

JUNIOR DIVISION (UP TO 18 years)

Donald Babcock Junior Composers' Awards

Agnes Fowler Scholarships (Selected by the College/University)        Awards Total   $13,000

1. A $1000 scholarship to student in an OFMC affiliated school majoring in music, preferably strong in performance and proficient on at least one instrument or in voice.
2. The school shall choose the recipient by the December 1 deadline.
3. Each eligible school will be sent a form to be completed with their recipient and returned to:

4. The student receiving the scholarship should be willing to perform once at a State Convention, a District Conference in NE, SE, SW or NW Ohio, or a local music club meeting.
5.  The colleges eligible to receive the scholarship would include all those affiliated schools not already receiving other automatic awards in Music Therapy or for PhD. Candidates.
